meet my new battle axe called it pat

probably: different smells could mean different flavours.

I can't help thinking of Braveheart when the Scots show their ass to the Brits.

due to some magic have a NPC at the moment called morg who really is hung like a bull so dont worry about the back its the front view that will cause all to feel small. 8)

big and tall guy needs to eat more. He probably also have guts in his head.
Anyway you should remember that duel between Achilles and the giant warrior in Troy where the fight between the two lasted less than 2 minutes.
Strength is one thing but dexterity is also a great advantage when you have to pull a blade in a body.

Perhaps you could do with some house rules: if your campaign is based on such feats, you can use dex. modifiers for criticals if the fighter has no or light armor only.
I admit the Troy movie could have been better but duels are excellently represented and the fight between Achilles and Hector is a memorable piece of a duel.

well, as far as how to accurately portray duels/sword fights i just use the game The Riddle of Steel..lol

sure, i know, not a mongoose product, but it does tend to cover combat better than d&d.

this is my great reproach to D&D: it is level based and tends to provoke power chase.
Most games use dexterity as a important value for thieves and for iniatiative (who strikes first).

yeh... my issue is that if you want to play a quick character, you quickly can get labeled as "the always go first guy".... ugg..

i played a character ONCE that had a +11 to his initaitive (+4 from improve init, +3 from dex, and another +4 from lightning initiative)... and now im pretty much branded as the guy who always goes first.....my latest character in our eberron game has a +4..all from dex... and im still considered the always go first guy... but this time because i roll higher on the dice.... i cant win
