Initiative tracker and encounter manager

I'm currently taking this online GM class from Faster Combat:http://fastercombat.com/

The classes are great and I highly recommend it to my fellow GM's. I thought I'd share a useful Initiative tracker and Encounter manager that I created in Google Docs with suggestions from one of the lessons:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnDAt7zyZu0WdE5wUU9FVGdPbER6dnotN2dyYUd2WGc

Once I plug in the Initiative I just sort the spreadsheet accordingly and scroll through the combatants. I can keep track of rounds and special effects or conditions with it. For each encounter I just copy the main sheet over into a new sheet and add in the bad guys. There is a lot of easy to setup conditional formatting which color codes things easily and makes it a breeze to see what's going on.

I still have a few things I'd like to get working but so far I'm pretty happy with it and its nice to have a useful tool thats not based on D&D only :x

Yep! I think its great though that some courses are being offered, especially one that caters to the one part of gaming that seems to bog down no matter what RPG or system you play.

One of the two teacher/authors is Johnn Four, owner/editor of www.roleplayingtips.com a long standing newsletter for GMs. He's also printed a book or two on the subject of GMing (I bought them in PDF). Pretty much knows what he's doing and his course is, I believe, the first true school for GMing anywhere online or in-person.
