I have compiled a list of every ship, craft, station and vehicle that has a data sheet in the MgT2e sourcebooks. I want to publish these but I was curious about what people would be useful data to include in these lists. The raw files are in this post: Excel-ship-designer forum post with zip file.
This is the information I'm thinking of including in my index/reference. Would people find this useful? What is missing? What is too much info?
Class name is the common Class Name, like Beowulf, Class Type is the model type, like Type A, Class Role is what it primarily does, like Free Trader, Classification is Module/Station/Small Craft/ACS/BCS/FCS/WCS based on role or displacement.
TL, Thrust, and Jump rating are the rated values for those in standard configuration. If there are multiple drives, like Maneuver and High-Thrust Reaction drives together they are listed at M+T, If a ship has a backup drive, the drives are listed M1/M2
Jump Fuel is the dTons of fuel, Droptanks is the maximum size of the tanks it can carry or No for no tanks. Operating Weeks is the number of weeks of power plant fuel, and fuel processor is just yes or no but I could change it to the tons/day value.
Armed is just if it has something in the hard points and how many of them. So Dbl Turret x2, would be 2 double turrets that may or may not have anything in them.
Subcraft/Vehicles is for listing any included subcraft, including small craft, vehicles and drones or modules sizes if there is module space. Breakaway craft would also go in here.
Design Cost is the non-discount cost for the ship and all it's included subcraft, Discount Cost is the 10% off price if purchasing a common design or multiples.
Sourcebook and Page are where the design comes from.
Primary user is who usually uses it, like General, Imperial, Zhodani or the like. Could even be a person or company.
Crew Quarters is the number of staterooms used by the crew, with double occupancy assumed for most crew unless otherwise stated or if it's customary for the user to assign some users to individual accommodations those are counted singly, like Zhodani nobility usually get individual cabins.
Passenger Quarters is the number of accommodations left over after crew is accounted for and included low berths but not emergency low berths, interplanetary seating, and brig space (6 spaces). It does not count double occupancy of staterooms, so maximum capacity could be greater.
Stores space is how much space is dedicated to ship's stores. Additional stores can be stored in cargo, this is just the minimum normally carried.
Cargo is how much space is available after stores and passenger baggage space is allocated. It could be free space that is set aside for upgrades or actual cargo or multi-use space but not space set aside for modules.
This is all information that I find myself looking up all the time so I thought it would be useful here. Should I rearrange the order?
