I made some bunkers for WAW...

I made up a couple of pillboxes for my WAW games this week. The bases are sanded MDF and the constructions are made from foam core and textured with household exterior textured paint. The roofs lift of to accomodate models.

Next up will be sections of coiled barbed wire.

How will you be doing the wire?

The plan is to use 6"x1" MDF strips. I'll make some X's from toothpicks, drill the MDF to make a strong join with the X's. I have model barbed wire to coil and place over the toothpicks.

turf was often put on top of bunkers as well to disguise them from the air and distance, british often made the top edge iregular as well. somthing we learnt from WW1.

nice terrain though, remins me must do some more of my essay so i can get to work on my ww2 stuff befor evo arives at my door step lol

really nice bunkers makes me want to give it a try, it sure would be cool to do a d-day battle with 28mm minis
