Quick question. I've done a basic combat tracking chart with enough space for 10 combat rounds but so far we've never had a combat that's lasted anything like that long. So I was wondering roughly how long an average combat takes so I can adjust my chart accordingly.

From my experience using the rules, most single combats generally last 2-3 rounds. It varies considerably according to the combat skill disparity, secondary skill disparity, weapons used, amount of armour worn and the magic cast.
Two foes with 100%, armed with weapon & shield, wearing plate and no spells can last a while unless one of them does something cunning with a CM they win.
2-3 seems to agree with what I'm seeing so far. Even with a closely matched fight once one of the combatants gets hit with fatigue (usually in round 3) it all goes down hill fast.
So if I allow room for 6 rounds on my combat tracker that should be plenty for most occasions.
