Hope Freeport - how does anyone get there?

I've just looked on TravellerMap and there are so many worlds in the Great Rift that have nothing around them for many parsecs. Phobetor, for example seems remarkably isolated.

Then I found "Hope Freeport," which is a trading hub selling (presumably) anything to anyone.

But how can the buyers get there? It's so isolated.

It would take J5 ships to get there from the closest area, and the one closer system is a net importer of tech. I can't imagine they get much business.

One of the things you get from Great Rift, World Builder's Handbook etc is that empty hexes are not empty.

There are objects that can be used to refuel, you just have to find them, or be given the locations by a friendly navigator, or take the locations from the database of the pirate ship you just took over, or from the jump rutter you just pried from the cold dead hands of the navigator you just came across in an old shelter in an out of the way startown...

There will be secret paths, or routes to adventure, call them what you will.

I see! That's really helpful! Thank you.
