Homunculi

Do we have enough knowledge of how Legend sorcery works to hazard a stab at making homunculi now?

e.g. perhaps a specialised Homunculus Enchantment spell in a sorcery Grimoire, requiring the following additional spells:-

- Animate (Substance) or Animate (Homunculus)
- Form / Set (Substance) or Form / Set (Homunculus)
- Project (Sense) for the senses the homunculus will have
- Spirit Binding Enchantment to capture an appropriate spirit (e.g. a tree spirit to embody a homunculus made of wood, a stone elemental to embody a marble homunculus etc).
- optionally Armourblessing Enchantment to fortify the homunculus' armour points.

Work out the costs in Magic Points according to the rules given in Arms of Legend, perhaps including a new Condition - Always On:-

Always On
This Condition requires two Manipulation factors. A sorcerer with Manipulation 71 and 8 Manipulation Factors who wants to create an Always On enchantment must use two of the available factors, leaving only 6 to use on the enchantment.
An Enchantment which is Always On does not need to spend Manipulation factors on Duration: it remains active for as long as the object containing the enchantment is being worn, carried or used appropriately; a collar granting a Magnitude 3 Entertainer's Smile spell remains active for as long as the collar is worn.
This Condition is required in the construction of homunculi using the Homunculus Enchantment sorcery spell.

That looks very good greene, I never thought of doing humonculi through sorcery. I have used them in a few games, but I always had them made through the Alchemy skill, like a very complex recipe.

I posit that one could do that, too, through traditional alchemy.

The only questions are:-

1. Does the requisite Alchemy skill from Arms of Legend cover it? Patently, yes. If it covers the Philosopher's Stone, it''ll cover homunculi.

2. What sacrifice does the alchemist therefore need to make? If enchantments need only permanent Magic Points, how many would need to go into a homunculus? And what would they do? One Magic Point per characteristic point?

3. How long would it take to create a homunculus circulation in the alchemy lab?
