Nice! They'd be especially good for the Shadows... 'tis a nightmare trying to make them out on the original counters.

Hmm, you are correct, i should add boresight markers. About the size: I was thinking of making them in scale to eachothers. Of course thats little difficult with fighters, but I am going to make a BIG Bin'tak. I have a big gaming table so big ships are not an issue.:)

I dont want to number them, but I was thinking of putting different markings to different ships so they could be recognized.

Ahm... I don't know what ppi actually means:) I do have same pictures as those that I added here, but with 3000x2000 resolution. Is that super hi-res enough?

That should be hi-res enough.

ppi means Pixals per inch (also known as dpi, dots per inch)

For a printed product like the fleetbook all the graphics and pictures should be produced at least 300ppi for a really good quality, crisp finish. Most graphics for a PC screen or images re-sized for a PC screen are 72ppi and when printed out look terrible.

Hope that helps.

Well, i will upload the high res pictures somewhere and you (and anyone else who are interested) can take a look. Tey are about 17Mbs as .tif tough.

wrong sizes really but still very nice.

What are the right sizes then?

the ones I use for vassal are:
fighters 100x100 pixels
normal ships 110x200 pixels
warships and above 165x300 pixels

which is not too far off the official mongoose counters in size.

I had done some scaling experiments once in Excel. I scanned the EA counters and sized them according to the length listed in ATCA fleet book 1st edition.
I liked what it did for the Poseidon, but the Explorer got silly big. Fighters were so small as to be lost sometimes.
