Wouldn't a grav vehicle be preferred?
But it's still a grav cab!

Since I will return to my good old water world Pharos IV, in a Hiver-less
parallel universe, a grav vehicle would indeed have advantages ...

Most cab drivers really hate to drive across the sea floor, and charge
an inordinate amount of money for having to hold their breath for just
a couple of hours !

Two Hivers in one place !

"Im a Traveller get me out of here !"

Rog.

We are still here.

Update:
Larval Roger does well. He is on his "Wilderness Year", but the nest has fitted him with a tracker and a Larval Cam. He has been taken by Embassy ship to World 0522 so he can do his growing in a terrestrial environment, rather than one of the controlled Hydroarcologies on Phoga.

He also did very well on the basic "Predator Outsmart" reasoning trial.

He seems to have a rest area about 2km west of the Starport Fuel depot, in some sort of drainage pipe. The next test will see if he switches from that to the more natural Snohl areas and tunnels nearby.

I await permission from the FDA to locate several thousand larvae-eating Ahkanahk predators on World 0522. One hundred of these predators have been genetically pre-programmed to hunt down Larval Roger....

It is always the Federation's goal to promote Galactic Amity in all forms.

This concept of "amity" gets stranger and stranger ... now they are
hunting down their own larvae "amicably" ...

Larvae are minor pests; it's normal Hiver pratice to introduce larval predators to worlds that don't have such predators to keep larvae numbers down.

"amity" has nothing to do with it ;) ...
