Evening everyone,

I'm sure that someone here mentioned errata for the HG design sequence for the cost of small craft armor. Unfortunately, my search skills still have not been up to the task so I'm once more asking for help. On HgT High Guard p. 95 the 10-dton light fighter carries 2 points of crystaliron armor. The armor uses 0.25-dtons of volume and according to the table costs MCr0.1.

Flipping to page 57 armor must be added in whole armor points and 4 points of Crystaliron reduces hull volume by 5%. The light fighter has 2 point of or (2/4) * 0.05 * 10 = 0.5 * 0.05 * 10 = 0.025 * 10 = 0.25 dtons.
Which appears to match the stats on page 95.

So how is cost figured? I've have not been able to come up with the Cost of MCr0.1.

5% Crystaliron costs 20% of the base hull, so 2.5% Crystaliron should have a cost of 10% of the base hull. The Base Hull is 1 MCr, 10% of that is 0.1 MCr. (Streamlining does not affect base hull price.)

Morning ShadowDragon8685,

Thank you for coming to the aid of a old retired submarine sailor. I think my brain has shutdown or at least gone on vacation. 8)

You're welcome, mate. Safe travels.
