Help, Im a new Traveller GM

Hi Guys, heres hoping someone on here can give me some hints/advice. I would really like to run a game that introduces the whole DEAD SPACE setting from the EA video game. I am not sure how to develop the NECROMORPHS as the creature creation stuff doesnt quite cover all the elemnets Im after, like the fact the NECROMORPHS are undead.
Also if any has or knows where I could get a map/floor plan of the USG ISHIMURA from that would be a great help.
Cheers

I think the best place to search for a deckplan of the USG Ishimura
would probably be EA's Dead Space Forum:

As for the Necromorphs, I think I would treat them as androids/bio-
logical robots instead of normal creatures.

Just a few thoughts for you here my fellow GM,

I have used Zombies and plague infected before within my own campaign. For my Traveller campaign I never liked the AI Virus, but rather had a Plague spread accross space instead. I handled it like the "I am Legends Plague" with "28 Days" where after the plague was spread to a world the following happened...

Plague spreads 2-3 days after the infection is exposed (air borne infection this is called Type A)
- 70% of human-kind that catch it get super sick and take 3-5 days to die. Once a person comes down with it, with 12 hrs or so they are bed ridden and unable to do anything and die within 4-5 days after getting the plague. They are extremely contagious througout their time of being sick and the dead body is best burned to prevent and lingering infections
- 25% of human-kind that caught the plague and suffered through the sever flue like symptons manage to recover with no other effects other than they are now immune to getting (type A) again they are immne to (type B) but not from (type C).
- 4% of human-kind that caught the plague and recovered but are still very much infected have a version (type B). These poor souls act like the (plagued people from the 28 Days movies), they are enraged and aggressive to the point that they will attack anyone or anything. They will bite scratch, or use primitive clubs to attack and kill and in some cases eat flesh. They are alive but they usually burn out and die after about 28 days of coming out of the Type A comma. Anyone that has not had the plague already that is bitten or scratched by a type B plague victom will fall ill with 12 hrs with type Type A infection. Theses type B plague victoms begin to decay and burn themselves out as they burn out their systems until there is total organ failure.
- 1% of human-kind that caught the plague and recovered but have mutated into a slightly different species (the nasty critters from "I am Legend"). These mutants are Type C plague victims, and anyone bitten or scratched by them regardless will become a Type C plague mutant. They will fall ill in 12 hours, and go into a comma and awaken as one of these Type C plague mutants. With increased physical stats, and senses, aversion to direct sunlight, and lower mental ability. They are a rather nasty critter.

This plague spread accross space in my game and burned through any human-kind society and caused major issues in non-human kind too. That is the basics...

Here is a clear example of what happens...

Say you have a colony world of Pratax 3 - One colony of 10,000 pop, in a enclosed domed city complex on a mining facility / complex on the world with a type D Star Port

A 400 ton Armed Free Trader jumps into system with a Auto distress beacon on and tumbling away from the system jump point....a System Defense Boat is dispatched to see what is wrong:

The System Defense Boat reaches the 400 Ton Free trader and boards her, finds the 6 man crew all dead from some "sickness" and the atmosphere is frozen...7 of the 12 Low Births are in use and working correctly..The ship is taken back to the Star Port and put into quarantine. After 2 weeks the 7 in Low Births are awakened still in quarantine but that is when the plague starts....

The plague spreads 24-48 hrs after the exposure to the whole 10,000 pop

Within 1-2 days everyone has fallen ill, and in 1-2 days latter everyone has fallen into a comma.

After 3-5 days of falling into a comma

Then the real fun begins...after the pop comes out of the comma, that will...there are 7,000 dead infected corpses

Some 2,500 pop awaken and are extremely weak and scrared, and the dead are everywhere, but wait there is something not right. Some 400 pop have also come out of their comma and are crazed, and attack everyone and everything in sight and they are trying to eat anything living. To kill and eat living flesh.

Next in the dark places and at night some 100 pop come out and they too will attack anything living even the Crazy ones and Eat them to. Anyone bitten and survives falls ill again, and they too seem to mutate into one of these sub-humans that dwell in the dark places and eat flesh.

Yikes the world is cursed....!!!

OH if a Type C Mutant Plague victom bites a non-human, then the plague can spread to that other race too.

My campaign is set in 1132, in the Verge sector...2 yrs after the plague has spread across space.

They have discovered a Cure to stop the plague from spreading...if you can get a GST shot before a victum falls into a Comma then they will recover with no ill effects. Or if bitten by a Type C Plague Mutant, they will not change.

Life in the ruins is dangerous and scarry! The Wars as over, so is civilization too.
