Help Identifying these minis

I need a bit of help identifying these minis. I recently got them in a trade, and am not sure where they came from. They are obviously the EA Crusade Apollo and Delphi, but they aren't in scale with my current ACTA Apollo and Delphi, and seem a bit too large to be the Fleet Scale minis when compared to the AoG pictures.

The large minis are my current ones, the smaller are the news ones I've just acquired.

Sorry for the blurry pics, but if it's not apparent, they are a bit larger than the Fleet Scale minis as compared to the AoG pictures, but are tiny compared to the full scale. I could melt down my Apollo and make 4 of the small ones. I can take some better pictures if that helps anyone get an idea.

Anyone have a clue what they are?

It is possible they are simply the Iron Wind versions from recut molds. I know the Centauri Primus, Narn G'Quan and a couple other ACtA scale ships from Iron Wind are noticably larger than their Mongoose counterparts. Dunno if that's the case here, but it is possible I guess since Iron Wind did release all the remaining FA scale minis before the license expired.

I bought my (larger) minis from mongoose before they lost the license, so it's not the case of IWM having a larger mini.

A friend at the FLGS said that he thought they were the IWM fleet action minis, but that he'd have to dig through his boxes to find one to compare it to.

Someone else suggested that they might be early models, perhaps redesigned and released larger than before while Mongoose was going through it's problematic phase when it was releasing all sorts of new molds.

I vaguely recall that some of Mongoose's initial run of minis not being quite the correct size.

I had a similar experience with an IWM Minbari Trolligan. It's definitely not full scale, but I suspect it's slightly larger than FA.

@ Adam: Any chance you're willing to part with the smaller Apollo(s)? :wink:

The smaller Apollos are definitely up for grabs. They just look silly next to my current Apollos on the table so they'll never see table-time in my hands.

How long are the apollos that you are willing to let go and how many do you have? They are much bigger than my FA ones... but depending on their size I may be interested....

What about the Delphi's?

I packed them up while we're redoing the hardwood floors and carpet upstairs, so it'll be a royal pain to get them out for the next few days, but the odd scale Apollos are about the same size as the Fleet Scale Omega.

The Delphi's I plan on keeping until I can replace them with the correct size, since I only have the one Delphi pictures above, but the Apollos can gladly go.

Fair enough. I guess I'll have to wait until you can unpack them.... I don't currently own any FA Omegas so I have no idea how long your odd size apollos are.

How many of these odd size apollos are you trying to get rid of?

I've got 2 of them, and if they're of any interest, I should also have a pair of FA Apollos soon too that I won't mind getting rid of. I've recently traded away all of my fleet action to expand my full scale fleets, so the bits and pieces I acquire can go.
