Haven't you ever seen those birthday cards that make sounds? :)

Yeah (hadn't thought of that actually) but never in an RPG book, that could be interesting.

Mike Halsey soundbites for the (hoped for) upcoming A:2089 game!!!

Though the XP line's quality control has had its ups and downs, last year's Baron Munchausen limited hardback (I have it here; quite lovely) gives me faith that Mongoose can deliver something worth the price.

I'm relieved to see they're not making Gareth complete the IntSec and High Programmer core books for the August deadline too. Though the man is evidently the Molesworth line-writing machine made flesh, probably wise to let him recover between volumes. Also I'm not sure my finances could take three rulebooks, one of which is Special, in a single month :)

Hey! Mongoose! If the Black Missions variant is a critical hit (as it were), any chance of similarly powered up editions of the other two rulebooks when they arrive?

I was going to moan a little about the 200-page hardback costing £30, when my XP edition 256-page hardback cost £25, then I realised I had purchased said five years ago, when everything was made of wood and an evening's entertainment consisted of gathering round the gramaphone to dance the quadrille. Also, I live in Swindon, so if they louse up the production / binding / printing / what have you, I will go to their office, stand in the middle of it and shout. They don't want that. I have been known to get rounds of nervous applause from random strangers in pubs where I've been coaxed into full furious flow about something or other :D

As the person who has really had to slave tirelessly, not just over the book but the DVD also, I am pretty certain that you are all going to be pretty happy with this.

The DVD is set to be a real treat, even though it has been a total time suck for me, it has been great fun to do and i am really chuffed with how it is shaping up. I should be going up to Rebellion sometime next week to view the final completed product and i can't wait!
