Head + Desk = Poseidon

I bought a pair of Novas a couple years back and after starting to work on them I dedicated my B5 game time to counters.

My novas weren't too bad. they did require a bit of work. This super carrier, though... the two halves don't even fit right. I hope its one of the molds getting redone.

Either you got lucky or I got real unlucky, because my Novas sucked horribly. As it stands I refuse to purchase B5 models...though it seems that moot due to them not selling them. I just returned to B5 as of yesterday, so I'm still getting caught up. Do you know anything about new models, if they are to be released?

Myl ast Omega was a large chunk. No much details left over, the center section did not fit to the forward and aft ones.

of my last models, the Warlocks aren't too bad, the chronos were excellent, very little clean up at all. My Omegas have always been fair to good at best.

The worst B5 models to date were the Civilian Tankers. They couldn't dry fit together, let alone with paint and glue...

ya well its a publishing company making minis. They did not know the sudlties of molding. Plyus they did not have a multiple spinners. Plus not the correct number of staff. With the steps ironwind is making I am hopefull that they will get it right. I am not saying MGP did not try there best to put out the greatest they could. They just failed to live up to the standards of most of us. all and all I am very happy just to have the game and Working on ships is something I can do.

Iron Wind Minis has taken over production and already announced that the worst of the molds are being redone riiight...

NOW!

But, yes, they're already selling some of them again.

I'm presuming then that you've never seen a Drakh Mothership? Where some of the pieces seem to have been molded on a slightly larger scale than the rest of them

Well, we'll see how it goes. I'll refrain from judgment until I've seen the minis first hand. For that matter, where can you purchase the new stuff from them?

It is really bad. And not as big as I was expecting, which is a bit disappointing. I've had to file off a lot of details getting things to fit and removing flash. I'll probably have to rebuild some of tem using greenstuff. First though, is the magic trick of getting it to fit together. Then getting the rotating section to rotate. Then getting it painted... those last two steps will be easy compared to the fitting

I'm in the process of putting together a Poseidon as well. The fore and aft components were easy to clean up and fit - though the rotating section needs filing to make it fit - but the worst bit is the middle bit as you need to unwarp the upper and lower bits, then align them with the fore and aft sections. The other thing is that there's a *lot* of filing and flash removal to be done on the ends to make things fit together.

Can't quite tell whether it's the condition of the mold, a below average casting or both.

Yeah, that was my experience, last summer. Haven't painted the thing yet, as I don't currenty have a place to store it, but I did get it together. Though I do wish I'd checked the balance point before I drilled out the mounting slot...

The thing is 6.5 inches long, just how big were you expecting?
