Half Remembered Ship

Cosmic Mongoose
Hi,

This has been bugging me for months. I half-remember a very brief ship article (1, maximum 2 pages) from the '80s or '90s. I was in a magazine (possibly British) that was not specifically focused on Traveller, possibly White Dwarf, Different Worlds or Space Gamer or something else. I have poured through all of my old magazines to no avail.

The ship was a small, stealthy scout ship. 100 tons I think.

A couple of people have suggested the Explorer by Andy Slack, the Huntress bounty hunting ship, and the Monitor or Ranger by James B King. All of those are about the right era, but not the right one.

Anyone with any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

- Kerry

I remember a Khazad class Zhodani scout that I think was stealthy. It would have been in White Dwarf in the early 80s.

I have a recollection of swiveling seats but I might be muddling that with something else.

Edit:
I can also remember something that I think was a modified S-Class but was clearly inspired by Slave I and was designed for bounty hunting. I've got a memory of a revolving vehicle bay. That would also have been in White Dwarf, in the mid 80s.

Edit 2:
This has sparked a slow series of memories in my ancient brain.
I'm now also remembering an early 80s white dwarf article about an imperial organisation called something like the Covert Survey Bureau. I'm pretty sure there were one or two adventure class ships described in that.
