Grimoire and sorcery questions

How many Sorcery(Grimoire) can a character know at the creation of the character ?

One of my player argue that u can learn a new one as an advanced skills for 10 creation skill points.

Technically you can, but really a grimoire is something that needs to be researched and trained in, so I'd restrict grimoires to one at character creation with additional grimoires being learned over a longer period of time in-game.

I do have another question about magic.

If a player has 63% in his grimoire, and if he takes 10x time to add the 60% bonus and get a nice 123% on his skill.

Does his target suffer a -23% on his resistance check to avoid the spell if any ?

Depends on your ruling. I don't modify spell effects by spending more time on casting them - only on the check to see if the spell succeeds.

if you rule tht you get the bonus, then yes he'll get -23%.

By RAW; yes he can.

By RAW, yes.
