LOL, that sounds about right for a few years ago. At least now the rules refs are more competent and confident, particularly with the greater numbers of good players on high tables.

Canada has this system called the Gay... er Gray Knights. The local "Grey Knight" is extremely Biased (in my limited opinion). If he doesn't like you, your pretty much pooched for anything GW. He won't give the local gaming store the required recomendation to become the GW center for our city. And I won't get into the system he uses for judging tornaments.

I learned alot though (mostly what not to do).

Well, your prayers are answered. The GK are all but toast now that GW has nixed GW Canada. There 'may' be a replacement, but don't count on it. Lucky our GK here are pretty good. I think one of the requirements is an age restriction as most of ours are over 40.

As to the other examples of rules lawyering etc, those are the kinds of reasons I almost never play against ppl I don't know any more. And why I'm doing most of my games with friends in house. I haven't been to the LGS for a game this year!

I wish I could comment on the rest, but I still haven't received my rules! I'm going to keep trying to get some books but my lucks not good.

Unfortunately that means very little, I still won't be able to play 40k until the ... "G" Knight is ousted from our local gaming club. I had an undiagnosed medical condition that caused me to say and do things that were out of my control and that irritated him, so he banned me for it (nation wide) (and it is actually a medical condition... I have been forced off work because of it ). As an example, my stress level was rated this tuesday. 1-149 is consider light stress, 150-299 is considered high stress, 300 is considered extreme stress. I have a stress rating of 660 and I've been off of work for almost a year! I just thank gawd for our public medical care and other social programs, cause otherwise I would be in alot worse shape right now.
