Got an Iron Wind Sharlin today...

Barghest

Mongoose
At first glance the model was surprisingly free of flash. I was very surprised and pleased. Then I looked at the back of the body where the tail fits in. The slot is mostly filled. It's going to take some serious work with my Dremel to get that slot clear. Time to buy another small cutter.

The casting, other than that filled slot, is quite crisp. The detail is good, better than I remember my other Sharlin being. There's a second Sharlin from Iron Wind at the shop. I guess I'll have to buy it tomorrow and compare the two. I am cautiously optimistic about the quality.

Nice to hear the Sharlin is one of the first models out as it's one of the hardest to find. May have to do a bit of "filling out" on some of my fleets, Minbari being one.

Cheers, Gary

As far as I heard on another forum they use some of the better molds for miniatures by now (Minbari looking be among them), but the majority of the molds seem to be crap and need a serious overhaul/redesign.

I hear they contacted Anne Summers for a new mold for the drakh carrier.... the liati... the shakira. .. ;-)

must have been somethign about Anne summers and sexy singers fusing my mind lol

They mould Shakira for a Drakh carrier and it will be the hottest selling miniature in the game... ;-)
