I'm struggling to get my head round the notion of spending money on a license which no one has heard of?

I'd heard of it.

Why spend money on a licence? To bring the game to the attention of people who ordinarily wouldn't look at it.

I hope it's more exciting than the utter worthless attempts that the other evil game did last year with it's retarded mystery box games drama. Talk about a let down, though the games themselves were fun, but the hype was worthless.

I know, i was just thinking of a 2 worded sci fi series that didnt have a wargame for it and thats all i could think of. Plus with the Dr who ressurgance it would do wonders for mongooses sales.
