Giant Critters.

Banded Mongoose
Hello.

Has anyone any thoughts on using dinosaur-sized critters in combat? I've only the core rulebook and Judge Dredd, and am not sure how the DMs proceed for stats above 15, whether sizable Str DM plusses to melee rolls are a sensible emulation of eg. a T-Rex bite attack, etc.

If there's anything in any of the Traveller supplements, I'll gladly pick them up.

Any thoughts or advice much appreciated. I've also asked for help over in the JD thread, but thought it was worth checking amongst you thrumming Traveller buffs.

Cheers,

Ned

the formula seems to be:

INT(STATVALUE-6)/3) unless the stat is zero in which case it is -3

In addition, damage is based on Strength, 1d6 per 10 Strength (all fractions round up).

Once you get to Huge in size, attacks made against the creature gain a +1 DM (see the Large alien trait for details).
