GHQ ships height

Since I am workin on a transport case for my GHQ ships I wanted to ask how tall the tallest ship in other GHQ-owners fleet is. At the moment my tallest ship is the Tirpitz which measures 0,75 inch (added wire masts included). But I know that there are taller ships out there. Unfortunately it´s a little bit tricky to get the exact size from the pictures on the GHQ website. Probably the carriers well be among the tallest.

So, please take out your tapes and write it down here. Thanks in advance.

Are they accurate enough models to take the real ships height and divide by the scale (2400?)

So find tallest ship afloat and use that

I´d rather go with the models, since normally you don´t get the height "waterline to top of wire". Did try it, but does nat really work out.

This site usually has the "draft"

And this one seems to have overall dimensions

If you dont want to do any work then email GHQ direct and ask them how tall their largest (or projected) model is, as, to be honest, because you dont mention what ships you may want, you cannot guarantee people on this forum have what you need. You may need to look at people playing other WW2 Naval games

I think 1" or 1 1/4" would probably do it even when based on something 1/8" thick. If you did have the odd tall mini (like maybe a trawler?) you could also place it on its side.

1 1/4 " seems to me to be the max height, too. At least that´s what I could deduct from ships I have seen up until now. Thanks for your help.

For 1/2400 scale, I'd think you would be OK with that height. My own storage is over 1-1/2" but none get anywhere close to contact. Also, consider from a scale viewpoint that one inch is 200 feet tall, so that about says you're safe.
