GenCon Indy 2010

Mongoose
Who is headed to Indy for GenCon this year? My wife and I purchased badges this last Sunday and I managed to get through the passkey system to secure lodging this morning (not an easy task mind you). I asked in the Living Traveller section of the forum and found out that there will indeed be Traveller goodness to be had at the con. I plan to bring along my core rulebook just in case I can get it signed by anyone from Mongoose. So, anyone else attending?

I also got tickets Sunday and just barely got a hotel yesterday as well. I ended up at the Marriott but was trying for the Westin. Looking forward to it!

I was shooting for the Westin but wound up at The Canterbury. A little further but still able to get there through skywalk bridges. This will be the first time at GenCon for my wife and I. I have been to a couple of local con's in my area in the past but nothing this big before.

Wish I could be there again guys, but I would have to bring my kids again, and last year with flight, hotel and food costs it was nearly 3 grand, so I won't be going again until either my kids move out and I only have to pay my own way, or my kids get jobs and pay their own way as well.

Anyone have floor space for rent? My local gang has pretty well abandoned going this year and I'd rather not pay the full hotel cost myself. PM/email me if interested.

Once again, my financial situation has deep sixed my attempt to go. However, in the past, I've found great Traveller games run by Jason "Flynn" Kemp. If you can find one of these, I highly recommend you try to get into it.

Its well worth the effort.

I will be there and would look forward to running or playing in something....

There are hardly any traveller games listed in the GenCon events, absolutely none of the new "Living" Traveller. As online submission is pretty much over with, and I have myself pretty much booked up now anyway, it looks like I won't be getting in on any traveller while at the con. Maybe if a pick up game gets started or something.

I know that there are people who have signed up to run traveller, but for some reason (red tape?) they aren't showing up. Usually the demo team (me included) runs Traveller and RuneQuest on Friday and Saturday.

I signed up to run two "Intro To Traveller" character building sessions and then two 4 hr adventures on Thurs. But they are not listed in the online catalog. I've made multiple inquiries and gotten no response.

If we can agree on a day I could run something...I will be down on Wednesday evening if that day is doable. Otherwise I'm open to suggestions I do have events that I'm in everyday but I don't mind eating a few bucks for a Traveller Game!

I am running a Villains & Vigilantes game for the Dead Games Society Wednesday night. Maybe those of us headed to GenCon could post our schedules and see if there is a time slot we can all agree on?

I'm going. I don't know if Jason Kemp is going or not. I'd be up for something on Wednesday.

I'm still hunting if any one has space/interest.
