Game Monday

Clangador

Mongoose
I'm going to be GMing my first official game of Paranoia XP this Monday. I ahve three players. So, what should I make them do for their first mission?

Well, if you don't feel like using the introductory "Mister Bubbles" mission in the rulebook, you can always set them up with conflicting secret society missions and then run the old "Take this mysterious package 75 meters down this hallway and deliver it to Joe-B-VGF-2." The hallway has an IntSec blockade, and there's a detour through higher-clearance areas, and a bot has gone frankenstein in the room next door, and the secret societies all want different things to happen to the package, and it's not Joe-B-VGF-2 at the end of the hallway, it's Joe-G-VGF-3.

If your group is sufficiently high-spirited, they can get through two or three clones apiece before they deliver the package.

And don't forget to have those Secret Society members use 3-Speak.
See MarkIV's contribution to keeping me in stitches, it's great!

My first game was run with my own mission Journey to ZIP sector. It included flybots afraid of heights, experimental teleportation devices and an 80 foot bright red Teddybotski with flame throwers! FUN!

While I like Allen Varney's idea a lot...

**Slight Spoiler - Future players do not read!!**

I really really want to enjoy saying "DING!" and flinging little wadded up pieces of paper at my players. Of course, you could always just include the spam and paper projectiles for the fun of it in any scenario.

I made an adventure of my own. There were three clone deaths. One on a transport tube and two by grenade accident. One clone was censured by the computer for accusing a Yellow citizen of being a mutant and trying to frame him.

I was GMing a straight game. If my Living Lagends RPG doesn't get here in the next two weeks, I'll be running another game of Paranoia at the next session.

My first game was zap and involved a grand total of 15 clone deaths. My second game involved 27 from the same PC! I kept reseting his clones for spurious reasons but he never got the hint that he wasn't supposed to be so obvious about being a Commie!
