Hmmm... Two nicely painted fleets duking it out :D

How early was it when the poseidon got knocked out? What was the final result?

Well, it became a good looking but quite unfun game.

EA had +5 init and Minbari +5 init.

EA moved forward into pounce-position in the astroid field and the firebolts behined the dust cloud and waited to win an initiative to pounce.
The minbari kept their range and stayed back.
However EA lost the first 7 turns init-rolls and had to pounce anyway because the Apollos were getting cut to shreads despite the Astroid-field protection.

The Poseidon and the Warlock moved into LOS from behined the astroid field and the Star furys attacked.

The first turn the first shot from the sharlin got a runaway beam that put the Poseidon within 10 pts. from death and were soon finished off.

The first Sharlin shot the next turn were a runaway beam shot that put the Warlock within 15 pts. from death. And it were also put to death shortly.

EA lost 46 of the 48 dogfights in the furball...

Looked very cool though even if the game were very unexiting...

Sounds like my mates Sharkaan war cruiser. The first game it was in it vapourized my mates untouched Z'takk with one shot. And in its second game it gutted my untouched Warlock with its opening shot. That mini is getting a reputation as a war level ship killer.

That looks like a very cool gaming table by the way. 8)

Tell me about it..
It once knocked the front teeth out of a Nemesis in 1 shot, and turned it into a ghost ship the next turn..
My painstakingly built (warlock + shadow spines) Nemesis...

I love the TD precise beam when it's on my side.. But havent done anything spectacular with it yet... :?

Some nice fleets in this tread. Thought I would show my Narn Fleet

Those are some sexy Narn. Did you make that scenery too? Is that aquarium rocks? I hadn't thought to make asteroids that small. Those look great.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. :D

Scenery is made by asgaard games (local game shop).
I think the asteroids is made of small rocks found in the garden.

I do have more Narn than shown on picture, but they were not finished at the time picture was taken.

^^ Your Patrol cutter have an wrong orientation, there front side is on the other side 8) Your´ have the Exhoust in front - nice fleet / Narn

NOTE: I updated the links to these files to point to their new locations.

Here are some photos of some of the B5 miniatures I just finished. They are my first B5 miniatures. Most of painting is with 1/285th "Moderns".

The technique I used, for whatever it is worth, is here.

Suddenly I got a huge inspiration to paint my ACTA minis. They've been lying in the back of my closet for months (I bought them when the game was dropped), but now it's their time to come out.

Minbari ships

Babylon 5 space station
B5 was a real pain to build and paint. Most of the "panel lines" had vanished, so I had to paint the blue parts freehand.

(The 40k marines in the small pictures are there just to show scale to people who haven't seen ACTA miniatures.)

Next on the painting block I've got some Omegas, Hyperions and the rest of the minbari ships.

Nice job on the Minbari squadron. (And nice to see someone who knows which way round a Nial goes. :D)

Really nice job on B5. You even managed the small squares around the forward section! If you hadn't shown the stand in the photo, the fine paintwork on that model could lead an observer to believe that it is a much larger model - I'd be quite happy if my Revell model had turned out like that!

This is my League fleet, which has been beaten into spare parts more times than I'd care to count.

Given that it's my first time painting anything I'm satisfied with how the paint job turned out though. Basically I only painted the base colors, no highlights or advanced stuff. So I could not really expect very much. Then I painted everything over with some sort of clear stuff which mostly settled into the crevices, darkening them and adding some depth to the ships.

Thanks to Protoman-swe for taking these pictures!
