Well, just finished basing my last falkosi, and have run out of ACTA minies to work on. The horror.

The first one of you lot (you know who I'm speaking of)to suggest that he start work on my minis to keep him busy for a century or so gets whacked by the half ton of flash I've icked off them already!!!!!

I have this odd (maybe, does anyone else?) habit of saving ALL my flash, well, the decent sized pieces at least. I don't know what I really expect to do with it, but I have a small box full of it. The ACtA minis have REALLY contributed :| I think, in the back of my mind I want to melt it down into something, but I really don't think that is a possability.

I'm saving my flash. I plan to do some ship design at some point, and depending on what I learn about casting it could be a good material.

Pewter has a higher melting temperature than lead so if you do end up using it, make sure the rubber you use is rated for it. If you're going to do your own pewter casting I would probably get a centrifuge (spin caster) to make sure the moulds fill properly, though it would take a little practice to get the flow channels right each time for the best results.

Personally, I'd just use resin myself. Less problematic all around.

Note: obviously whatever you do just make sure it's for casting your *own* stuff and not anything copyrighted by someone else!

Cheers, Gary

Who would make models of copy written stuff? thats just plain illegal! Next you'll be saying people are out there downloading software and music off the internet

That's just foolish talk! I can't imagine that happening - after all, if it did what would stop people downloading movies and the like from those perfectly legitimate Bittorrent trackers that allow you to share all that non-copyrighted material you have on your PC/Mac/Hairdryer/Whatever. ;)

Very Nice job on the Tzymm fighters Blu_Magic. Looking forward to seeing more of your Vree.

If and when I ever get around to painting my own Vree I will keeping your work in mind.

I actually dislike Tzymms (the two thruster thingies kinda ruined it for me) But Blu_Majik certainly prove that a good paint job makes all the difference :o

Well done

Can't wait to see it. Your Vree make me want to buy some Vree.

God... I can't afford a third fleet... its bad enough I buy up every Narn ship I can find. I need to stop reading this thread!
