I use Army Transport foam trays. I just made a hole for the fighter base, going in face down, and I can pick it up by the ship, or the base, just fine.Kickaha said:Sounds good hindsight.
Only possible concern I have is do tthey survive the rigours of transportation and gaming or are you continually having to repair as you go along.

I put a bit of water on my glass table top, and then I pushed the green stuff through the hole with a files dull end, and ran the base back and forth. The water and the smooth glass table made the green stuff smooth like the base, so it doesn't look like a clump of clay sticking out of a hole in a plastic base.
Some came out, some didn't. I think yours look great. The third one look like it may have a slight bulge, but it could just be the lighting.
