Gaim question

I have to ask... Are the Gaim a new Mongoose-created race or something that were around in the B5 universe before now? There's something a little fishy about them.

Gaim are one of the most often seenraces in the series - the guys with the grey bodysuits and the gas-mask like helmets? That´s them. Oh, and we once see one without its helmet in season 5, must have a picture of it lying around somewhere...

Gotcha, thanks for the quick reply. I tried to look them up in the Wikipedia, but it let me down. I just thought it was funny, because someone asked me what they were like and I replied that they reminded me a lot, oddly enough, of the Buggers from Ender's Game (at least the way their fleet is portrayed in ACTA).

And then I realized that Gaim probably sounds a lot like Game...

Probably a big coincidence but I found it amusing.

For those who have ever played the B5 CCG you can find Gaim
in the Non-Aligned faction and you can't miss them :D

They need a translator when they speak but seem able to understand without it .. lazy guys ?

(ok not as much as paks ;) )

Have you seen their mouths?

They don't speak english or similar alien languages because they can't, they lack the necessary vocal equipment...

I guess the lack of vocal cords could make speaking our language a little complicated...

Oh, and paks are not lazy - it´s just a protest over other races wasting perfectly good food all the time, burying their dead and all that...

Ok ;-) that's just reminding me the episode where a dead minbari warleader is missing ... You don't know where it is ? just ask pak'ma'ras :D

But for the language concept the "speaking" word is not good I agree.
The Vree do not speak but master a language.
Let's say that if they were able to, the gaim could speak as they master the
language ... but for pak's ... ;-)

Just thinking they feel really superior (and lazy) as being the chosen ones no ? ;)
(Just like people thinking everyone is expected to speak english everywhere they go ;) )
