Another seriously cool series was the Prisoner of the Horned Helmet books. Goth of Baal is a fantastic character and much darker than Conan. The books were written by Frank Frazetta and a co-auther (named White, IIRC) and take place in the same world, although I think after Conan...not sure. The novels are nearly impossible to track down last I looked (unless you're willing to pay a handsome sum) but they're totally worth it.

I agree that Gath of Baal is a very cool character. It is set, for the most part, in a great forested valley where the mediterranean sea is today.

It was credited to Frank Frazetta & James Silke, although Silke did the actual writing.

They are hard to find, but they do turn up in used bookstores.

He's in the books (the Conan RPG ones, that is) in several places (page 82 is a cool one) so I was curious about whether he'd end up with a write up or something. Anyway...probably not, but still...

They'd have to get the rights from Frazetta, which could be a problem, but a Deathdealer sourcebook using the Conan rules would be great.

As you say, it probably won't happen, but it would be a must-have if it did..

Does someone know "Arquel of Argos" by Ray Capella (subtitled the "Leopard of Poitain"? It it good written? And where can one find it?
