free mars

You're right... let the pox upon thy kin be lifted, and placed only unto thee, for thy continued references to foodstuffs and meals.

Free Snickers. Does that mean we get to laugh at everyone.

Meanwhile back on topic.
Mouth of Sauron "I've often wondered that myself. Back when Crusade was new, the first episode broadcast on TNT showed Mars with the subtitle "Independent Member Earth Alliance."
Oh B-----.

This should be good, Psi Corp may be the first group to officially arrest a Ranger for breaking the law. (aiding & abetting a Blip)

Found the reference in the Main Book from lastbesthope. PsiCorp is responsible for all human telepaths not Earth Alliance ones. So apparently it doesn't matter where they are or who they're with.

So what other goodies are going to be in the book. Come on I can't wait three months to find out.

Presumably the only places a teep is not subject to EA law (in human space) are countries like Israel and the Vatican that are not part of the EA. I wonder if they choose to cooperate with Psi Corps.

Unfortunately, in the Psi Corp book, it states that they have extradition treaties with all Earth countries.
According to the dictionary, a protectorate is "an area or country that is dependent on another more powerful nation" or "a country or region that is defended and controlled by a more powerful state, or the relationship between the two". According to an old (1933) encyclopedia I have, a protectorate is a country whose foreign relations are controlled by another country but is protected by the other country as well." The examples were all British colonies, had an administrator but which were encouraged to self rule. So I suppose that would about cover the situation. They are a member of the EA and are protected by them but have their own laws. (The research you have to do for games. No wonder gamers tend to have the strangest collections of reference books.)

You got that thru Doubleday as well. For a long and boring read I recommend Malifis Malificarium.(I think that's spelt right)

Captain, we're heading full speed off topic again!
Don't panic, just keep going, we'll run into again eventually. You know how bent these things are.

Wow... I really need to get the Earth Alliance book. I didn't realize there were Earth Nations that weren't members of the Alliance. Just checking my memory here... that fact was never mentioned in the series, correct?

As as a side question: How did Clark's Regime handle these "pocket's of independence" in his own backyard?

And a bit more on topic: I wonder if Mars has its own representative in the Interstellar Alliance seperate from Earth's...

Didn't Sheridan offer Number One setting up a diplomatic office on Minbar along with the bank account. And even if they don't have an official rep, and I'd guess they do, having the former leader of the Mars resistance as your head of intel is likely to see Mars well represented.

So apart from ship plans.
What's sort of sections are going to be in it.
Govt-setup- relationships.
Trade.
Crime/Punishment.
Businesses.
Personalities.
Security.
Equipment.

Any of these, which ones, not yes or no.

Free Mars has now made it into "Next Month's Releases", so looks like we're just waiting on someone to write up the details page for it :)

I just got a pay rise and splurged on all the books I hadn't got yet :)

Then I splurged on some other stuff.

Now I need to wait a couple of months without spending anything to let the bank balance recover.
