Flying bases, who sells them?

Its something like £3-£4 for a bag full from GW... they do large and small bases as well as short and tall stands so make sure when purchasing that you have the tall stands.

i didn't know they still sold them seperatly. i'm sure the last time i was in a GW they told me that they didn't carry them anymore! gits!

i'll get the longer stands. i put a brass rod pin in the top anyway so i can cut them down to size for the bigger ships if i need to.

thanks!

You might be able to get them singly from GW direct... they no longer supply the bags... or at least thats what we were told when we tried ordering some..

GW online store want 75p for the bases and 75p for them stems individually! i wanted about ten so you talking £15!! and they charge about £4 for orders under £50! so nearly £20 for ten bases.

thieving buggers! :(

They do WHAT? Have now finally gone out of their minds? that makes the metal moongoose ones look like a bargain...

You should be able to order them as spares from Mongoose, as well as the metal ones they carry as seperate items. 40p for large plastics and £1 for large metal.

Oh, I have been paying attention, but I did not notice that the bases are now sold seperately. I *am* aware of their price hikes but 1,5£ for a simple plastic base, now THATS ridiculous
I am a long time fan of the 40k universe and I like WFB as well. I also have a somewhat bigger collection of specialist games, but since their decision to ban the Damnatus movie I hold a strong grudge against them. But when I see that they truly think they can take *that* much for one single base...

I dropped about 500+€ on stuff from them every year, but with their recent decisions I simply can't see myself byuing much more from them. It's a shame that mongoose decided to go the prepaints way with starship troopers. I considered starting, but theres no way with prepaints. and I am not a fan of the evo ruleset either.

I've had the same problem down here in NZ. Just this last week I tried to get gw bases from the store, only to be told that they were no longer stocked. And I also hopped onto the UK site and was horrified by the prospect of 75p a base and 75p a stem.

Thats about $4.50 in NZ dollars! ! ! !

But if you look in the Australian online shop they still have the bags. I'm not sure how the cost of getting them sent to the UK would be. But it's got to be better than one fifty a stand.

another problem with GW is, that their online store sometimes lists things that are not available anymore. Oh well, I moan their incometent IT now since they have an online store.

do you know that i've just got some off Ebay, 30 for £1.99 and £1.25 postage!!

it's the ones with the sort of hexagonal bases but 30 for £3.24 posted to the door???

happy or what! :D
