Fluff for Shadows?

yep the DVDs are all the revised version as far as I know.

Which is a shame in a way, I rather LIKED the orignal piolt episodes music :P

I think it was meant to be Kosh getting excited in a fan-boyish manner :)

What?
But why would he be all excited, he's already met Sinclair; in War Without End Kosh was there with Valen when the Minbari arrive on B4 1000 years ago (well actually maybe just a Vorlon with an absolutely identical encounter suit...)

What?
But if War Without End is to be believed Kosh was there with Valen when the Minbari arrive on B4 1000 years ago (well actually a Vorlon with an absolutely identical encounter suit...)

Could be a "family" colur, might have been Koshs daddy :-), Kosh Senior

Well in reality its just that they only could afford to make two Vorlon suits...

Which is why Ulkesh and Diet Kosh appear to be the same...

*edited to sound less dismissive

The Vorlons did have a physical body as well. Neither race had taken the final steps towards Transcendance before they went beyond the Rim

Where's the evidence of that?

Kosh does several things during the series that somewhat preclude him having a physical form. Such as inhabiting Lyta and (as a fragment) later Sheridan. That's a bit difficult to achieve if you have a physical body...

Plus we know (from Lorien) that energy beings can take on corporeal form, perhaps the Shadows are energy beings but just like taking corporeal form most of the time.

Darkness and Light fact book page 20+ for the Vorlons, page 87+ for the Shadows

JMS on the physical nature of Vorlons

http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/countries/us/guide/070.html

Vorlons are amorphous energy beings, how was Kosh poisoned in "The Gathering?"
Remember, they do have a certain physicality about them, even in that form, and the nature of the poison was such that it would affect that kind of life form using a crystalline base (note in the pilot the screen reads analyzing crystalline structure, and you filter light or refract or distort it using a crystalline structure).

Silicon or crystalline based lifeforms are still lifeforms, just not the same as carbon-based lifeforms (like us).

Yes, that's a Vorlon...and there was a physicality to them, shown by the fact that it could strike out and hit things. It's not a ghost or anything of that nature, it can be hurt and killed.
