Fleet Box Question(s)

I was reading over the new S&P and I was wondering, what will happen to the current reinforcement boxes? Will they still be offered, changed, etc?


Also, I noticed that the Psi Corps didn't get a box set. I have a Nemesis or two laying around :wink: , but wouldn't mind picking up a few of their other models to add to my "to-paint" list. I'd prefer buying a boxed set to save some money though. Anyone heard of anything?

My only worry is when they send my dilgar fleet box they will try & give me the new one instead of the old one which i ordered mid june. I ordered it with various bits to make conversions. Won't work with the new box set.

Heh, that'd be pretty unfortunate.

I'm sad that the box sets went down in relative value as well, but it should be better for new players to get into the game. Maybe we'll get lucky and we'll get a "mega" fleet option for those of us who like to collect and paint a wide variety of minis, but also like to save some pesos.

Luckily I have the races i want to play, althgouh I am tempted by drazi, but I think the old box set is more what i want!

new fleet box or old fleet box for a drazi fleet? I require recomendations of a man who tonked my drakh with drazi

I'd go for the new one. Stormfalcons don't really cut it for Drazi, the Boresight issue means Stormfalcons are a bit useless, I'd rather have 2 Firehawks than a Stormfalcon. Either way, you'll need a boatload of extra Strikehawks/Warbirds

interesting, i'd kind of decided against Firehawks, I'll look into it some more. I'll also need to find 50 quid from somewhere... anyone wanna buy a mothership ;-)

I hope the gaims includes a bucketload of fighters!!

I didn't read the S&P but I glanced through it, I could have sworn I saw a Raiders fleet box in there?

Oh well....I hope they would consider one. Even if its like the Poseidon carrier box that has a crap load of fighters.

you could easily include a couple of league ships in it for variety

Especially the Vree, I was really surprised at what they can do, especially in cose range.

The Raiders will have their own box as soon as they have the last couple of ships done for them...

Im going to have to wate for the warlock missle launchers as im gonna convert them into WS2's 3 in all.

I like the look of the new box sets, hopefully release dates for these will be more coming soon.
I'll also have to sell off my remaining stock of existing fleet boxes cheap!

I didn't catch the Raiders missing. From the S&P article it sounds as if they'll be getting some fun stuff later this year though, so maybe in the future.

I do like the new boxed sets, I'd like to see more in them (who wouldn't), but they're still good deals. I'd love to see a mega-set, or maybe even a Versus set with a small/medium Narn and Centauri Fleet, and/or other adversaries, maybe with a mini scenario book.
