Flaming Cobra and Avenger

Rikki Tikki Traveller

Cosmic Mongoose
Avenger has produced several Traveller books under the Flaming Cobra license from Mongoose, but I do not see them under the Publishers list in the Flaming Cobra Section of this website?

WHATS UP?

That would be Comstar Games and not Avenger Enterprises, not much of a difference but its still correct.

I really dont think anyone should be testing the mental health of an Avenger - scary.......

When they have a paper product out (Project Steel), they will be!

Why do they need to have print products in order to count as having released a product? Aren't PDFs good enough?

Especially given that Brutal Games, Wicked World Games, and Reality Deviant Publications are shown there and yet they have no current releases.

Well, ignoring the fact that this is between ourselves and Avenger. . .

1. Companies appear when their products come up for pre-order - three months before release. Otherwise you would have a company appearing with no product, because;

2. We do not display PDF only products on our site.

I have a preference towards printed copy
but I do agree, it doesnt seem a reason not to advertise them
they do great product 8)

That's what mystifies me (and I"m not just speaking about Avenger's stuff here) - why not? Do you consider them to be somehow less valid as releases than a print product? Please don't tell me that it's because of some misplaced fear of offending "brick and mortar" stores.

No, it is much more basic than that - our web site (or, more precisely, our shopping cart) cannot handle them!

We are currently revising our entire site and mail order/distribution system which, as well as unifying a lot of disparate proocesses, will resolve this particular issue too.

One of the things I really like very much about Mongoose is that they
are constantly improving things. :D

Oh good, I'm glad that it's because of technical issues rather than some weird stance about PDFs!

Though with Flaming Cobra stuff, wouldn't a link to the publishers site/online store be enough? They're not officially Mongoose products after all (are they? I'm not entirely sure how this FC stuff works).

We do actually have links to the publishers' own sites (though we _cannot_ do a link to the online store - web site parameters again!).

thanks for elucidating there Matthew

I guess, considering the thousands of PDF's oput there, it would take a heck of a lot of space on your site to advertise

makes sense, glad its all technical issues
