Actually only a quarter of the men were Welsh but the 24th were still great. As for Chard/Bromhead/Dalton- well Dalton was the better man/soldier but it was Chard who initiated the defense.

I used to work in the royal welch fusiliers museum in North Wales for one summer when at uni.
People kept asking about Zulu and I kept explaining that it was hte South Wales Borders in the Film and we didn't have anything to do with the film

Yes I know, I've read A LOT about that battle and own several wargames on it!
That and Arnhem are my favourites. But the film heavily features Welshmen so is required watching for Rob!Another thing is the casualties, they're quite high in the film whereas only 12 men (on the British side) IIRC died in reality

Thats cos theyre pricks, basically. You see, North Wales is full of Scotsmen and Irishmen, thats a mix no one can accept. They have the anger of an Irishman (and probably drinking capability, which is nothing) and the arseyness of a Scot (unless your LBH, then just cockyness). South Wales has the best. No-one there is different, and if they are, then a scene won't be made unless they started it. I haven't got a problem with northerners, I just hate ones that say that. I will admit, that north Wales is more isolated from England, but has suffered less hardships than the south from England. Don't blame south Wales for England's greed.
I certainly agree theres more Englishmen in the south than the north, but hey. I don't get this silly north and south argument all countries seem to have. Just like I hate the south of England. My English blood is from the north of the midlands so I'm torn between. :roll:

I have painted up the skinnie now, with a head extension, and neck extension, along with some re-sculpted swirls on his legs, it look great, IMO. It actually resembles a skinnie, not a human in a funny suit with a mask on.
I'm considering re-painting parts of my raiders, to make them look similar, as it looks so cool.
