Thanks for the link! My first reactions are: a.) why does Joe look so tiny in his uniform? Did the Supply Department accidentally issue him Judge Giant's equipment this AM? and b.) that's quite a lot of non-regulation facial hair Joe's got on there... I guess somebody swiped his shaver a few days ago!

Have you seen many covers of 2000 AD?? Lots of official artwork of him being unshaven. Also, the slightly large helmet gives him that over the top feel which is great because the comic itself was and still is over the top science fiction.

Have you read much 2000 AD?? There are tons of references to Dredd's official disapproval of facial hair of any kind. And if you think a huge helmet makes him look impressive, you're allowed... ... just like I'm allowed to think it makes his head look like a chickpea rattling around in a bucket!
