Mongoose
Don´t play any RPG, but I love(d) the show. Has this been discussed, I´m sure it has.

SnowDog said:I don't know that rules set but there is a very unofficial version for Savage Worlds in Savageheroes page (just google it).
SnowDog said:Still, it would be a nice exercise to work out a Traveller version for it (and Galactica too).
SnowDog said:The thing is actually if the setting is really only one star system like in Serenity RPG or multiple systems. I managed to miss the series twice when it was aired here and I have been trying to hunt down the DVD box (with subtitles but no luck).
For me it would make much more sense to have multiple star systems rather than one large and odd one... This is relevant when designing the spacecraft.

So, there are 5 different star systems? Surely the distances between the systems are measured in light years rather than in AUs? AU is a distance between the sun and Earth, IIRC.
SnowDog said:Ah, I got it now, thanks! I own the Serenity RPG but somehow I managed to miss that part...
SnowDog said:Yeah, the pic was not very precise. It would suit for a computer game but I would like a bit more easily measured distances between various worlds. Then again it has been a while since I last read the book and don't remember how it was handled.
In any case Margaret Weiss Products is still having a license and are supposedly negotiating for or maybe even making new material for the game so the is sadly no way for Mongoose to get the license...
