Finesse Weapons and Parrying

When a character wields a Finesse weapon they use their DEX bonus in place of their STR bonus when determining their Total Attack Bonus.

My question is:

Would a character wielding a Finesse weapon use their DEX bonus in place of their STR bonus when parrying?

Given the nature of Finesse weapon fighting, this seems logical to me and would help my DEX-based fighter overcome his lack of DR for wearing no armor by making him harder to hit.

It would make sense if the enemy was using a light weapon, easy to set-aside - like two rapiers fencing - but not if the attacker is using a brute-strength weapon like a greatsword; that would take strength to set-aside.
