Fighting at negative hit points

This is a noob question, but it looks like you can fight with limbs and even torso/head at negative hit points, as long as you make your resilience check. Am I reading this correctly? (p.95)

Unlikely but yes, once you are at that point, running would be the better option.

It's not like D20 where negative points are the same as taking a potentially lethat injury. A serious wound is more likely something that incapacitates and overwhelms the victim with shock and pain, even if it's only briefly.

Yes, but bear in mind you don't just make a simple check, you have to get a better roll than the attack roll that took you to negative. So, even if you have 80% resilience, if the guy that hit you had 80% to hit then on average you have a 40% chance of making that check.

Actually I come from the old Runequest rules, which didn't let you use limbs at negative hit points, and the torso/head at negative also took you out of the fight. But the resistance rolls work for me too.

I have to say, I like the new rules very much--no total hit points, combat maneuvers, and the way combat actions play out. Innovative and very well done, in my opinion.
