Favorite Charachter or Line Fom B5

Fav Characture Londo

Londo Mollari: The humans, I think, knew they were doomed. But where another race would surrender to despair, the humans fought back with even greater strength. They made the Minbari fight for every inch of space. In my life, I have never seen anything like it. They would weep, they would pray, they would say goodbye to their loved ones and then throw themselves without fear or hesitation at the very face of death itself. Never surrendering. No one who saw them fighting against the inevitable could help but be moved to tears by their courage…their stubborn nobility. When they ran out of ships, they used guns. When they ran out of guns, they used knives and sticks and bare hands. They were magnificent. I only hope, that when it is my time, I may die with half as much dignity as I saw in their eyes at the end. They did this for two years. They never ran out of courage. But in the end…they ran out of time.

"Boxes."
"Okay, again. I spy with my little eye, something that begins with 'M'"
"More Boxes."
"One more try. I spy with my little eye, something that begins with 'E'"
"Even more boxes."

Franklin: And that's when I shot him, your honor.

wkehrman beat me to this one...

The character I admire the most is G'Kar. The one I enjoyed the most is Marcus.

Favorite Character: Sheridan, That guy is pure Midwestern America

Favorite Line: Too many to remember, off the top of my head.

Mack saying how Whitestars look like "plucked chickens"

Lochley: "Is there a problem?"

Vir and Lennier in the Zocalo bar, "They never listen."

Delenn to Ivanova " I've been getting these cramps..."

Zathras: "...a sad life, probably a sad death, but at least, there is symmetry."

Without a doubt the combination of Londo and G'kar make for many of the shows best moments, between them they were by far two of the most developed characters throughout the show, and you could empathise with both of them quite a lot.

Mac: So how long you think those two been married?

Sorry, read this right after a series of Bo and Mac exchanges

Cmdr. Susan Ivanova without a doubt.

Of course it might have something to do with Claudia Christian not being afraid to be nekkid in several of her earlier movies... 8)

G'Kar where is your other eye?

A great line from Londo when he realizes that G'Kars new robotic eye is missing.

This goes hand in hand with the scene when G'Kar first gets the eye installed and Franklin explains that it works even when not in his head. So what does he do? He immediatly pulls it out and starts looking at himself while laughing.

I had a TV crush on Ivanova.

I think I liked most of the characters...
I liked Bester' arrogance
Marcus's swashbucklishness
Garibaldi's strange obsession with Daffy Duck
Londo's being Centauri for Centauri...not sure how else to describe it

As far as bits...
I liked Bester and Garibaldi's exchange: (parsed out the episode-specific dialogue)
Garibaldi: "...if I had a baseball bat we could hang you from the ceiling and play pinata..."
Bester: "...A pinata huh, so, you think of me as something bright & cheerful, full of toys & candy for young children....Thank you, that makes me feel.... much better about our relationship."
- "Dust to Dust"

and Londo's analysis of the hokey pokey:
"After two thousand years of art, literature, culture, and science...do you know the ONE song that nearly all humans sing to their children at some point or another?"
(sings the Hokey Pokey)
"It does not mean anything! I have been studying it for seven days. I had the computer analyze it. I swear to you. It does not mean A THING!"

Kosh - Truth is a 3 edged sword

I have always liked the questions posed by the Shadows and Vorlons

Ivanova "Confirmed Survey 1. Upon arrival you will report for debriefing. And just one more thing, on your trip back I want you to take the time to learn the Babylon 5 mantra. Ivanova is always right. I will listen to Ivanova. I will not ignore Ivanova's recommendations. Ivanova is God. And if this ever happens again Ivanova will personally rip your lungs out! Babylon control out. "

@darklord: Londo was a patriot. A misguided, desperate patriot without any real moral grounding, but a patriot, nonetheless.

All he really wanted was the best for his race...

The tragedy being his never knowing what it is really "all about"

Londo, G'Kar, Marcus, Vir, Morden and Bester oh and Eileson from Crusade.

Favourite line probably the one already mentioned about G'kar's "I'm Here" to Lando when trappedin the elevator.

I also really liked Londo's telling of the joke.
"How many Centauri does it take to change a lightbulb?
Answer one, but in the old days of the republic we had a thousand servants change a thousand lightbulbs whenever we wished it."

That joke was posted by a fan on usenet (which JMS used to read and post to), and he liked it so he used it in the show

What's more dangerous than a locked room full of angry Narn?
One angry Narn - with the key.

Another glorious Ivanova quote I came across while looking for something else:

Mr. Gray. I'm grateful the Psi Corps has given you a purpose in life! But when that purpose includes scanning my mind to prove my loyalty, it's not only an invasion of my privacy, but my honor! As for fear, if you enter my mind for any reason, I will twist your head off and use it for a chamberpot!

My favourite was Vir.

A few scenes which always stay with me.

1) Vir and Morden they were just class.

2) The meeting with Lennir where they both moan about the rest without actually talking to each other :-). Then the line "Same time next week?"

3) Vir walking into Londos room and taking the sword off the wall and then smashing to bits the traders stall.

I could go on. Vir for me was the heart and compassion of the show.

Vir was great in the show. When he went to the technomages for Londo was a awsome scene.

Just reviewed the series, particularly the Narn-Centauri war arc.

Don't know if he qualifies as "favorite", but Lord Refa is a character i really love to hate..

"YES! They are very powerful... Which is what we need!"

"...it has just the right ring of desperation to be true."

Just watched a few episodes last night. Emperor Catagia (sorry for bad spelling). I loved the derranged mad man.

I prefer the "solitary" bad guy, Bester, and the "solitary" good guy, Marcus. Pretty much doing what needs doing without being overly attached to those around them.
