[Fantasy Grounds; Online Game] Gateway Era Traveller

Is there any interest in a Traveller game set in the Gateway era using the Traveller rules?

I'll be using the Fantasy Grounds software to run the game, so you'd need at least a Lite license to join in. I'd be looking to run the game on Sundays from 8pm to 11pm UK time. You can check using this link to see what this means for you. I'm recruiting for between 3 and 6 players.

are you using skype or ventrillo for voice? what rules set?

Mike

Not using voice, I tend to use the chat only for roleplay. It ends up being a little slower, but more immersive in terms of character and play (you don't have a gruff bass voice coming at you when the comely female patron is trying to hire you for a job).

The ruleset is a homegrown modification of the Fantasy Grounds Foundation ruleset. Currently, it's a separate ruleset for the Traveller character sheet (and the character sheet is all there is for the moment, so I'll be resorting to paper for the combat tracker). Eventually, I intend to make it an extension for the Foundation ruleset itself.

Ah two strikes for me. One couldn't run Fantasy Grounds. Two the time / date happens to completely overlap with an IRC based game for me.

For those who are new to the Traveller game, the Gateway era is set in the Gateway domain in the year 993 of the Third Imperium (around 5500AD).

The first session, this Sunday (11th January), is likely to be dedicated to character generation. I'll tailor the scenario to the characters. I've got a few ideas already for adventures to run. I'll pick an idea that fits the characters.
