Factory Modules

In Special Supplement 3 Vehicle Upgrade Manual it mentions a factory module that processes what-ever it is designed to processes at the rate of 1 ton per space. That is all well and good but what is the time scale? per day? per week? per month? I simply want to know.

Use the default processing rate of fuel processors, until somebody tells you otherwise: one ton per day per ton of processor.
