Everybody OK after the quake?

yes south of Dover. I think only really Kent was affected, and possibly the cliff fault in Hampshire

I liked the report about that crack in Kent, the costal and marine experts say yup the crack was caused by the earthquake, but the police say there was no connection....

Since when did the Police become experts on the effects of Earthquakes....... Maybe they are just covering themselves so they don't have to investigate it or something. (I am talking British Police where we have very few and generaly not very powerfull earth quakes.)

It was in Hampshire

It was south of the Tyne so I don't really care where down south it was.... unless it had happened to sink London 8)

Well according to the quake reports on various news sources, it happened exactly the same time I woke up, I have been sensitive to such things in the past so that's probably what did it. not that I felt the ground shaking, but something woke me at that exact time.

Pity, I was havbing a wicked good dream (No it was not in any way CC or B5 related, nor did it involve me actually painting my minis)

There was quake in England?

Guess I live way too North to have felt it.

Would have been interesting to experience MILD earthquake. No chance of earthquakes in Finland(not that they are needed :D).

How strong was it anyway?

Be quiet Colonial.
This is an unusual thing in the UK.
Sure, this is what it's like this year, but what about next? What if it re-occurs. My minis could get damaged!

it's unusual in the south of England but we get several earthquakes a year.
There was a bigger one 5.2 I think in the West Midlands in 2002
One in Wales in 2000 and a big one in Wales in 86

4.3 on the richter scale.

4.3? We call those a foot massage in California.

Only in the crazy coastal areas. We don't actually have earthquakes here.....although we seem to have had more than our fair share of tornadoes last year.....*cough* (one) *cough*.....

Well we get more tornados per square mile than anywhere else on the planet apparently.

Just our tornados tend in the most part to be well mannered and stick to the coutry side and even then not to make to much noise or mess. Unlike those hick ones you get over the other side of the pond that tend to be loud and obnoxious.... I wonder where they learnt that behaviour .
