Escape Pods (riffing off the other thread)

I think Escape Pods in Pioneer will be much less useful than escape pods in traveller.
- no low beth/fast drug
- very limited ability to rescue people in time.
- extremely limited supplies on board or ways of making new ones.

So, is being a Pioneer simply for the foolhardy?

So, essentially a re-entry capable pod? Are they in Pioneer?

I'm kinda reminded of the opening scenes in Ad Astra (I know that was high earth atmosphere and not LEO)
