Earth-Centauri War - Jan 26-27th

Hi all,

I'm another one of those pesky noob swansea players that keeps appearing ;)

We're thinking of signing up for the campaign... but I need a couple of clarifications regarding the League races.

Firstly, are combined/vanilla league fleets allowed ? I'm guessing yes, but some confirmation would be real good before I start painting/buying 5pts of battle :D

So if vanilla league isn't allowed.... what about the wacky races ? I am allowed to play a full Hurr or more importantly a full Ipsha fleet ? :D
How about adding some of those ships to a racial fleet ?

Thanks
Order.

Could this poor fellow get an answer, perhaps?

Quick Question regarding EA fleets.

What is the tourney ruling for changing missile types. Can we do it between battles or what you pick is what you keep all tourney.

Personally I would say EA players can change between each battle (EA has to have some advantage lol).

usually for tourneys they have to keep the same from fight to fight. the same applies to whatever fighters your ships are carrying.

I entered as EA Crusade/Psi Corps, which means if people are kind/foolish enough to vote me as grand admiral then I could rustle up an Excalibur too...

So my question is do I paint or accept the limitations of counters? Either way I'm bringing a clutch of WS.

Go with counters LBH, you would hate to ruin your rep by bringing painted figs.

Can Psi Corp use the Excalibur as their Admiral ship? I wouldn't have thought that the requisition rule would apply for that. If so though, what would be the situation on two Psi Corps players both bringing along the Excalibur as their Admiral's ship? This could apply to any two players bringing along the same unique ship in general actually...

On the subject of missiles, I'd be surprised if you had to decide on your load before the tournament. That pretty much destroys one of their greatest strengths...

Well in a normal Psi Corps fleet you can't take the Excalibur as it's four FAPs but as the grand admiral's ship, you are choosing a fleet that is by definition a single ship so could be allowed.

Of course, two Crusade EA players could take the Excalibur but I don't think that's likely with it taking up 80% of their fleet.

I was thinking more along the lines of them taking it as their admiral's ship. If anything, I'd expect every single EA:CE player to be taking it, which will mean that it could keep respawning every time it gets destroyed. At least, unless it's ruled that it was unique, and therefore anyone else who also wanted to use it now can't become admiral.

In the case of us Psi Corps (and an ISA players), I think that it's something that could do with being cleared up. I took it as being that we weren't taking a separate Armageddon-1 fleet, but rather that we were being granted a single ship from our own fleet list. Then again, it doesn't say anything about the ship having to be from our own list either, so I guess that technically we could take it from any fleet that we wanted...

Psi Corp can take the Nemisis as their flag ship that is Armaggedon level.

If I get my EA choice if my victory is done that will be my flagship or if not one of my warlocks.

Also as the misslies used by Earth I would have thought that you could change them between fights in this mega campaign. As it is a Earth Force "special". Inbetween fights we get resupplied so why not a change of missiles. I know this is not a normal tourney.

Just a thought, could the S&P team take some pics, write up an overview of this?

I was going to ask for a battle report but that might be a big ask for the size of the engagment (though don't let me stop you).

Seems like something alot of people would be interested in reading about (and i don't even play this game....or watch B5).

Psi Corps has a Nemisis class ship the Victory is ISA, they only "Lent the Excalabur out to the EA on a 5 year leace."

Okay, I just booked a place with centauri as my first choice, can someone from mongoose HQ confirm whether we have got our first choices?

My Adira class is nicely packed away with the rest of my fleet anyway; should it be needed for GA purposes.

How many are on the Centauri side now btw?

If I get my first choice and if I decide to take painted minis I need to get some shopping done.

I need an extra mini to allow flexibility.
