Earth-Centauri War - Jan 26-27th

bout 1.5 miles i think. i was pondering car drop off at hotel and walking, but depends on the weather really. I also paid for breakfast for 6 quid or so. ok, thats double what i paid in a cafe in whitefield the other day, but with luck it will be a serve yourself buffet so i can sneak out sausage and bacon for lunch ;-)

Travel lodge has the disadvantages of no free parking and no free breakfast.

When Low Roller and I factored all that in we opted to pony up for the Marriot, though we are sharing a room to keep costs down

NB Twin room NOT double

LBH

I'm not driving, so I don't need parking, and I can sort something for breakfast.

Anyone that shared a room with me would get no sleep. I snore, like a rusty chainsaw...

I don't know if it's a national problem or just the local Travelodge, but at the Premier Inn I work at we always seem to be hearing moans about the quality (or lack thereof) of the Travelodge.
Predictably, Greg and I are staying at Premier Inn Swindon Central because of my staff discount. It's £50/night to the public and about twice as far away from the Croft though.

All locational I feel, i have stayed in some great hotels over the years, only to end up in a dismal one from the same chain the following week! for sure places like the Marriott are usually of a higher standard, and their prices reflect this. I am sure that most hotels in the country surpas those I stayed in in egypt with ease, but then £2 a night was a bit of a bargain for a beach front hut! :o

I'm staying in the PTI swindon central also; just my luck that all the possible room share options are bloody snoring gitz.

NB - mine is also a twin room NOT double. Although I do have some rohipnol ready . . . . joke.

Hey if you're gonna share a room with Star-lynx you won't need rohipnol he may be a Narn but he's EASY! (sorry Shane but it's true).

Being a true Centauri still awaiting word on the great Feast that shall await us - or at least where such food as may serve as basic foodstuffs until the evening repaste may be purchased

:)

I think that the evening repast for the Centauri may well be humble pie!

As the Centauri/Drakh are a little short on numbers for this event, and as the guys at Mongoose have yet to inform us of our fleet selections, do we know if there is room for any more players?
Clanger, Da Boss, Greg Smith and myself have a couple of friends that may be interested in coming along, and could probably be cajoled into playing for the Centauri team, even if they are going to lose  ...
Anyone got any further info on the tourney yet, it is only a couple of weeks away!

The minbari aren't the only ones who possess advanced jump engines, and active stealth systems, we'll see how happy you boneheads are when you've been lit up like a christmas tree.

:D

We do have our fleets and numbers for each side. It's in the "Team Lists" thread, near the top of the first page.

D'oh!!!

Thanks for that LBH. I was just watching the main thread, and didn't think to go a few inches down the page!!! That sort of laziness should qualify me for Centauri citizenship...

Just a tactical point for EA and Narn players - roughly 50% of your opponents are Drakh and the Drakh can exceed the 8 ship limit, which makes getting decent boresight targets more difficult. I know we can't get rid of boresights entirely, but maximise your number of ships and cut down on boresight dependant ones if you can.

And May I add, that we Drakh are not stupid enough to bring on board space suits filled with explosive!
