[DW] New fan class for Dragon Warriors - the Seeker

Hi all! First post here :)

I just think up of a hunter/tracker class for Dragon Warriors - the Seeker. Restricted only to small weapons, light amour but he makes the perfect ranger, hunter and scout.

Do check it out and let me know how I can make it better :)

Hi,

I like it, but then again I hope you don't get the abusive comments I received for having used magic with the Ranger class on the wiki.

Simon

Which is why I am not putting on the wiki first :)

Just throwing it out to the floor to see how people think about it.

Any abuse should be reported to the DW-Wiki Admin. I cant see any comments attached to the entry or to your profile so I'm going to assume they were by PM.

If we don't know about it we can't fix it. :)

The good news is that: no abusive comments yet :)

The sort-of-bad-news is that: eh, no very constructive comments yep :p

:D

Well I'll go on record, again, as not seeing a need for additional classes. But it doesn't strike me as BadWrongFun.

As a die hard prophet and purist follower of the teachings of Book 1:Dragon Warriors, I beleive that all professions above and beyond the sacred Knight and Barbarian are uneccessary and must be removed immediatley! (tongue firmly in cheek).

Yes the negative comments I received were primarily via PM, and in response to me posting the class of Ranger up on another site aswell as the wiki.

I do like the Seeker in principal, but as you said it is a little bit over complex, and to some degree a little too restricted. I would have allowed the profession to use the Axe as well, for which woodsman would be without his trusty wood axe and for that matter the spear, for as anyone knows you do not want to meet a wild boar with just a bow or dagger in your hand.

Allowing the axe/spear is a good idea; I will add it in. I think I will clarify the restriction on "small weapons" (a one-handed hatchet should be fine, no an eye-axe of course).

The complexity, I think, is on par with the Assassin. As usual, the GM can rule which abilities are in and which are out.

For a totally martial class, one could remove the entire "focus powers" lines and add in some spear abilities. That does remind one of the Amazon class from Diablo II (sans all the fire arrows and over-the-top magical exploding/freezing arrows).
