Mongoose
I am interested with duck and broo miniatures that mongoose was selling. Now I can not see them. Can I buy the miniatures yet?

Not sure where you live but if in the US might want to keep an eye on Noble Knight games as they often get in out of print stuff and old miniatures .
Also Lance and Laser has Gloranthan miniatures and Mega Miniatures Beast men make pretty good Broo
For NobleKnight games

I brought up the issue of the missing broo and duck miniatures not too long ago on this forum page. Matthew Sprange replied that Mongoose has plans to offer a full line of RuneQuest miniatures, but he did not say when.

Now is definitely the time to get these minis to market. It is becoming harder and harder to find anything from Citadel and Ral Partha, and Lance and Laser just went out of business. -edit: Lance and Laser were acquired by Armorcast - No longer true:(As a matter of fact, there is no supplier left for any of the more exotic stuff, like headhangers, scorpion men (I modded my own), duck, dragonsnail (working on those), dragonewts, or trolls and trollkin, to name a few.)

Things like broo you can find from a variety of sources, including French Fenryll, or Texas' Reaper. I find non RQ trolls to often look to brutish for the RQ kind of cultivated creature they are.

There still are some shops that have some Lance and Laser left over, but it is running out quick. Might be the time to try and find some.

*Bump*

Looking for Broo, or figures that can pass as Broo, any ideas where from?

I'm in the UK

Cheers!

Its been a while, so I could be wrong, but doesnt Games Workshop offer a range of 'classics' figures via mail order? Early Beastmen were actually, originally RQ Broo.

I think Games Lore in Telford (?) have at least one box of Mongoose Broo left. Their prices are good too.

This is the Games Lore page...

http://www.gameslore.com/acatalog/Games_Runequest_216.html

They are advertising at least one box as in stock, might give them a ring? Theyre quite friendly. Great service.

And Spirit Games in Burton On Trent have a box of Ducks advertised as iin stock too! Heres the webpage...

Even if you do say so yourself ;)

I think the GW Beastmen are probably the best bet as you get 12 Ungors and 8 Gors for £17.60 as a pose to 8 Broo for £17.75. Yes you did hear that right, Games Workshop are value for money!!!

Cheers dude ...

Hi just seen this thread.

www.rapierminiatures.co.uk do some Scorpion Men figures.

Disclaimer:

I am involved in Rapier, but also a looooooooong time Runequester.

Armorcast has revived the Heroquest / Runequest line, and they have some very nice broo including a champion and a hero.

http://armorcast.com/store/index.php?cPath=116_98_146&sort=4a&page=3

I got my order in under 2 weeks to Belgium, so UK should be similar.

And have arranged the necessary license...

What little was left of Lance & Laser entered bankruptcy last week, so if Armorcast didn't get it, who knows where it will end up.

Hi there,

I've been looking for a UK stockist for the Lance and Laser Hero Wars / Runequest minis. I've bought some from Leisure Games but it looks like their stocks are dwindling.

I've been emailing Hasselfree Miniatures (http://hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/) who stock some Armorcast stuff. They seem a nice friendly company that carry a line of their own figures (I've seen some nice ones for Traveller). Whilst they have no future plans to stock these RQ minis they are happy to order them in. The only downside is that they only order from Armorcast every month or so and it takes a few more weeks for the shipment to arrive. Seeing as they have to order this in specially I have no problem with that.

If anyone is interested I'll let them know how I get on (BTW I have no affiliation with Hasselfree Miniatures).

The only thing that the Lance and Laser figures were missing were ducks. C'mon ducks can be heroes too :D . Will have to look out for the Mongoose minis on ebay I guess.

I know Hasslefree quite well (in an online fashion), they're very friendly, but they are not carrying the L&L range. Dunno if Sally and Kev would be up to it.

Leisure games' stock have been dwindling for quite a bit indeed, but my last list from Noble Knight was still quite complete.

I have found most of L&L at Gamer's Quest but they seem to have vanished as well.

Then again, I got a few from Armorcast to Belgium direct and it worked fine.
