Yeah I'd rather get rid of 2fers altogether, it makes it so much simpler. Ships being less powerful than Patrol is really not necessary.

I'm not a fan of this rule anyway and it wouldn't be needed if the 2fers were abandoned.

I'd say that all 2fers should be moved to a new priority level below Patrol, and should be weakened due to no longer giving away VP equal to a priority level higher.

And that would encourage swarms how? At anything other than Patrol level, you'd get less sub-patrol level ships than you would 2fers at patrol level :roll:

As for the need for a weaker PL, that we have 2fers at patrol level should say something about the need for a sub-patrol level. It's crazy that there's such a large gap between the largest fighters and the smallest ships if you take away the 2fers.

Unfortunately, Google failed me in my search for the "Third Core" reference, so I may or may not have seen it, depending on what "it" is.....

Unless it is an AMD Phenom X3 that is, in which case I definitely haven't seen one!
