hal said:I just looked over this and I am of the opposite opinion. Compared to other Free RPG day stuff, the DW one fails to be much use to anyone except as an extended advert.
The character creation material is incomplete to allow even Knights and Barbarians to be created properly. There isn't even any demo PCs.
The rules are incomplete to allow it to be used a demo ruleset to run the adventure.
The adventure is so short that it barely qualifies as such.
Free RPG is partially about promoting RPGs, but its more about doing that by providing a playable product of some kind. Most other Free RPG products got that, but DW is the worst I have seen.
bulya said:Character creation - whats missing? Admittedly Initial equipment is, but theres enough weapons and armour scattered through the Combat rules and creature descriptions to get by.
bulya said:Adventure could have been a bit longer but theres a lot of hooks for expansions there.
bulya said:Worst? Not by a very, very long shot.
