Dilgar War Fleet Suggestions

Poor pathetic fools, this so called "Imperium" is nothing of the kind.

The Deadgar shall be crushed and made to kneel before the gathered technological might of the LONAW! (fearsome eh?)

Your pathetic vessels cannot possibly stand up to our superior ancient...err wait, you mean we don't have uber-beams of death and SM?! Darn it, how do 'normal' ships move again?

As I appear to have been conned into playing the dastardly Dilgar it would appear that i am also assured of the wooden spoon!!

Damn you TGT why oh why was I condemned this way???

you we're condemed the moment you were born a Dilgar mate!
better get some factor 40,000 sun screen block or stop moanin and kill some LONAW!

I had fun playing against Tank's Dilgar with Early Era EA yesterday...

Tank's Fleet:-

1 Mishakur
2 Jeshakar Frigates
2 Jeahakar Scouts

"My" EA

2 Orestes (2x Tiger each)
1 Artemis
4 Tethis Missile Boats

Deployment and Turn 1:-
Basically, we faced off opposite each other, then the Mishakur charged towards the squadroned Orestes, while the Artemis powered forward, sticking a big sign on the top that said "Please Shoot Me!"

The Tethis' all ran over towards the EA's right flank, while the Jeshakars did the same on the Dilgar's right.

During the first fire phase, the Mishakur opened up with heavy bolters and pulsars on the Artemis, vapourising it. The Orestes squadron tore a large chunk out of the Mishakur in response. Nothing much else happened.

Turn 2:-
The Mishakur kept heading towards the Orestes' which broke squadron, one of them closing on the Dilgar dreadnought, the other boresighting it, but from slightly further away while bringing it's front railguns to bear on an unfortunate Jeshakar frigate. The Tethis' hung about on the EA right, getting to within 20" of the Mishakur, ready for their missile volley.

Firing... The Mishakur opened up with all of it's front firepower on the Orestes in front of it, seriously damaging it, but failing to cripple, skeleton or substantially effect it's firepower. In response, the Orestes fired it's lasers at the Dilgar craft, tearing it a new launch bay for it's fighters. A Jeshakar frigate fired it's front bolters at the damaged Orestes, but failed to do any more damage to it. The second Orestes then fired it's beam, completely destroying the Dilgar command ship as a series of catestrophic explosions tire through the stricken vessal.

At this point, the remaining Dilgar vessals decided that they were needed elsewhere, and headed for home at high speed.

Thanks for a fun game Tank, and I've decided that I *really* like Orestes... their front firepower is nasty (if slightly short ranged) and they're almost as tough to kill as an Omega.
